There's only 3 streets in Amsterdam with those kinds of windows. I live here and I honestly thought you were talking about the (clothing, etc.) shopping streets until I looked at the answers. Sooo not a big deal here.

Don't know about Amsterdam but I did go window shopping in Venice once.
I nearly blood drowned twice
Till a guy with a funny boat and a big hat pulled me out.
I gave in a pound to say thank you and the bugger threw me back in

Why would you travel to Amsterdam to go shopping for new windows? I would think that shipping them back would cost a lot.

Actually, I found most of Amsterdam soul destroying. I preferred Oldenzaal, further to the North.
