I feel very said to say this that, the salary of primary teachers in India is very less, if it is a Government school then it’s better not to open out it, but yes, if it’s a good private school the pay is good and also the growth is there. The reason for this is over population.
With due respect, if it is female then she earns good package, even she is not highly educated as compared to the male teacher who is earning very less. There is no doubt that most of the firms (institutes) today hire females, even if not required, because of her figure which is going to affect very badly in near future. Many times I feel our coming generation might say that my father is a house husband.

A proper govt. aided school (in Maharashtra) pay starts with min.Rs.4500 and can rise after 3 years to Rs.9000 min.Also some private schools may afford to pay minRs.600(six hundred) while others Rs.16000 (sixteen thousand ) depending on the financial background of the parents.

Depending on the school, City & State it could vary from Rs1000.00 to Rs4000.00.

More than Rs. 5,000/- in Government schools. Five hundred or more in private schools.
