Virtual Villagers: The lost children Collection of artifacts?

Is there a point to finishing collection all the artifacts in Virtual Villagers 2, does anything happen if you colllect them all, is it even possible?

Everytime you complete a collection, you can add an additional 5 people to your population. So, if you don't have any collections complete and you have completed all your tech and housing and all that you can have a max of 90 villagers. If you complete one collection you can max 95 villagers and so on and so on. Its not essential to completeing the game. I have completed all but one collection, I'm just waiting on a stupid beetle!
