He said if Kelley doesnt get it, then shame on the people who vote. Most coaches don't promote their own player unless he is a clear cut leader of the race. Kelley is good, but if he was player of the year, shouldn't he have lead his team to more wins? They are dead last in the SEC east. Chris Lofton is the unanimous choice for this award, and he is a candidate for national player of the year as well. He leads the SEC in scoring, has more 30 point games than anyone in the country (except for Durant), and he is a great all around player. Not to mention he has lead his team to a #8 RPI ranking.
I just thought this was an absurd statement from Odom. It wouldn't be absurd if his team didn't have the worst overall record in the SEC. Maybe he should concentrate on getting them ready for the SEC tourney and the NIT rather than promoting Kelley as player of the year?

i totally agree with how you ranked them except i would switch corey brewer with al horford. either one could be considered UF's mvp along with green as well. i just think horford contributes more, although brewer seems to be the most important piece of their puzzle.
