Sit back and realistically decide if you want to stay there. Make a list of both the good and bad. You might find out that it is not the job, but something else that is causing the problem. Or you could just be burned out and in need of a new opportunity.
Good Luck.

Tell your supervisor that you would like something challenging to do and see if he/she has any project to give you.
Look for things to do--is there filing or organizing that needs to be done. Often these tasks are left to the last, but working in a cluttered office can bring a person down.
What do you do outside of work? Try to do something every day (or 3 times/wk) that you really enjoy after work. You can think about it as a reward for getting your work done.
If you are considering a position change or a move to another company, try creating a resource manual with information about how your job is done. It will be reassuring for you when you realize how much work you actually do in a day, and your manager will appreciate your ambition, especially if you do decide to leave. I realize that you may not be motivated enough to think about a large project, but if you can think of one small task you can describe the process for, it will get you started.
If you're having trouble getting out of bed to go to work, that can be a sign of depression. If you think that is a possibility, call your doctor or your local mental health clinic.

I know where you are coming from. I too, spend most of my time here when working this part time job.
I have always felt that if you cannot motivate yourself at work, you have two choices:
1) Try to create more duties for your job. Do special projects to please yourself and even your boss. This will give you a sense of purpose.
2) Find a new job. Obviously you are not happy at this one so find another more challenging. finding another job will motivate you at least.
Either way, you need to get out of the funk. Will be joining you looking for new job soon. Good luck with that.

That's a tuffy. It happens to most of us. At a minimum: remove the shortcut to Yahoo from your desktop or web browser and clear out your browser history, so you can't immediately scroll to it. At a minimum you'll have to type in the URL making a little tougher.
As to real motivation: maybe set a time limit: 20 minutes of web nonsense. Get to work 20 minutes earlier, get it out of your system and then get back to work.
Good luck.

Here are my suggestions:
o Talk to your manager/supervisor about what they want you to improve on
o Set goals such as improving performance numbers, productivity
o Start a pet project that will improve your department's productivity
o Be a cheerleader for your team! Be the one that motivates others to do better
Not sure if that's what you meant by improving motivation but it's my answer!
