I wouldn't say Yahoo "hates" America. If anything, I'd argue it is biased towards it! Whether or not I am right about this, I'd still suggest this statement is a little over-dramatic.
Perhaps your question didn't post because of a blip in the system? (Up until a few minutes ago, my atavar wasn't displaying so maybe Yahoo are doing some maintenance today?) In my experience, anything controversial can go up on Yahoo Answers. It's just whether it stays up that is the issue. (Not that I'm saying I agree with their policies on that.)
