I am currently in my third year, so I have one more year to go. I am scared that I won't get into grad school at all with my GPA like this.

I had a lot of trouble in first year, and I stuck it out, and slowly my GPA is improving, but I don't think I have much time left to get it all the way to 3.00.

I don't know how difficult it is for international/ Canadian students to get into US institutions, but I would like to get into either anthropology or communication disorders.

Also, if anyone has any information on applying to graduate schools in New Zealand, it would be appreciated.

It would really depend what university you were applying to and what your score on the GRE was. If you are really serious about going to grad school here (and you have the ability to well on standardized tests), I would seriously focus on preparing for your GRE this summer. Once you have your score then you can always look online so you can see where you stand. Different colleges have different requirements, but unless you have a really good excuse for your GPA and great GRE scores than I doubt you have a chance to get into a top tier schools. Oh, and you might want to look into GRE Subject Test as well, depending on where you are going and if they require it for what you want to pursue.

Well I hoped that helped, and good luck with grad school.

Well..since your transferring GPA requirements are a lot lower anyway. I guess it depends on what school you were thinking of going to. I know U of M has a really high requirement. Theres a school in Detroit called Wayne State University and its not that far from Canada (well Windsor) I hope that helped!

UCB isn't probable so hippy-dippy as you're able to be able to desire to have faith. city of Berkeley actual has lingering aspects of the 60s, in spite of the actuality that UCB scholars frequently are very studious and aggressive. Conservatives are a minority at any secular college, yet i'm specific you will to discover dissimilar like-minded scholars at Berkeley. in case you opt to decrease the "great-environmentalist-liberal existence form" then do now not pass to country! USC has in fact extremely of a undesirable recognition, as a wealthy-teenager college. That aside, i'm specific it incredibly is a sturdy area to pass. probable now now not valued on the extra desirable preparation, in spite of the actuality that. for the reason which you have an activity in politics, i could desire to propose UCD, thinking the actuality that it somewhat is in a severe-severe high quality section for internships in Sacramento. And the scholars complete are lots extra desirable friendly than at Berkeley.
