When american soldiers get only a normal pay, even though there fighting for our country, and famous people only act, sing, dance, make jokes, or just look good? We can live without those famous people, but without soldiers risking there lives for us, who knows what would happen?

I really apreciate all the posts.... It seems like alot of you agree with me.
I also think the same way with cops, medics, and other workers like that, my mom being a EMT and all.

AMEN! I so agree! It's not fair at all! These famous people are merely entertainers. Being a solider, training to be a solider and living in a war in a lot more difficult than taking some acting classes and memorizing lines and having your hair and nails done. Give me a break! Look at Paris Hilton! She is famous and for what!?!?! Being a slut and her parents have the money.
Our soliders have volunteered their time and lives to protect our country and other countries. Many die and more are injuried. They come home without limbs and seem to be forgotten about by the media. We hear about Britney Spear's bald head for a week but we don't hear about the soldiers that lost their legs and are home and have to endure pain and hours of therapy daily and get counseling and have nightmares and get to see their chidren again or even their new babies that were born while they were in Iraq. There are thousands of soliders back home but what's happening to them? Where are they? How are they? Does the govt pay for their therapy? Do they get jobs, more education free? Homes, cars? Pension plans? Retirement plans?
God bless all of our soliders! Keep them safe physically and mentally!

Well, there is no coorelation between being a celebrity and being in the armed services, there is no parallel really. Should military members be paid more, sure, why not, but what about police officers, they help people, but don't enjoy that lifestyle either. I am very supportive of those serving in the military, and what they are required to do. But, again, there is no correlation, this question does not make sense, I understand what you are saying though.

good question. I agree. My husband spent 1 year in Iraq, it was very scary for him and me. He missed the birth of our 1st born, and the only benefit he got, was not paying taxes for a year. I think the priorities of this nation, are messed up. We give more attention to Anna Nicole Smith Passing away, with a pharmacy of drugs around her body, than we do an American Soldier, that is killed in the line of Duty, while serving our nation.
Very Sad.

Famous people like the artists are sponsored by commercial business and it is really sad to know that many people ignore the situation of our country and engage themselves in recreation activities.

Simple, the celebrites obtained their money from corporations. The soldiers are receiving their funds from a wicked government. I bet crook Cheney's company has never missed a FAT check from the government.

The only answer i can come up with is that, it didnt work for communist Russia. But I do understand where you are coming from and that the troops are important to a nation's morale and well-being.

Without them fighting to defend our country we KNOW what would happen. I believe that they would be happy getting RESPECT and SUPPORT from us back home. I am a Vet of the Viet Nam War era, and it is happening now what happened then, just a different war.

Supply and Demand, very simple. For a lot of soldiers, it is their best opportunity. Plus, there is no way we could afford to pay each soldier with a mansion, etc.
Also, how would hundreds of thousands be individually famous?

Brother..You have to ask Yourself..just what is.."famous"?
History is littered with dickheads..You have to make your own history..with your own heroes..In the end,it's only a footnote in Time and Memory..You Know....
