The aspect ratio may need to be changed on your laptop to display graphics on your television correctly. I'm not sure precisely what kind of TV you have, but you may need to do some research on what it's aspect ratio is and then change the settings on your laptop if possible. The issue isn't the graphics card on your laptop, it's the width and height of your televisions display screen which is formatted differently than the tiny screen on your laptop, hence the poor graphics quality.

i had the same problem, i think the only way to improve this would be to get a LCD TV, older TVs doesn't have the capabilities of handling the resolution of a PC

i will guess that what you're looking is that the photograph is extremely blocky. you could desire to attempt something that's HD (like an X field or PS3) on it & see if the photograph high quality is extra effective with that. whether that's then i could purchase A HD Sky field & watch television utilising that rather of standard sky!

Get a better tv. Monitor graphics are better than tv graphics.
