1.)
tan(x)^2 + 1 = sec(x)^2
(sin(x)/cos(x))^2 + 1 = (1/cos(x))^2
(cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2)/(cos(x)^2) = (1/cos(x))^2
1/(cos(x)^2 = 1/cos(x)^2

True

---------------------------------------------

2.)
2sin(20)sin(5) = cos(15) - cos(25)
Using a calculator this is true.

3.)
cos(45) = cos(30 + 15)

True, just do to the fact that 30 + 15 = 45

------------------------------

4.)
tan(255) = 2 - sqrt(3)
Using a calculator, False

----------------------------------

5.)
sin(25) = sin(10)cos(15) + sin(15)cos(10)

sin(10 + 15) = sin(10)cos(15) + sin(15)cos(10)

Just the rule for sin(x + y), this is True

-----------------------------------------------------

6.)
cos(x)/sin(x) = tan(x)

since sin(x)/cos(x) = tan(x)

cos(x)/sin(x) = cot(x) or 1/(tan(x))

This is False

--------------------------------

7.)
cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2 = -1
(1 - sin(x)^2) + sin(x)^2 = -1
1 - sin(x)^2 + sin(x)^2 = -1
1 = -1

False

----------------------------

8.)
cos(74) = cos(60)cos(14) + sin(60)sin(14)

using the rule cos(x + y) = cos(x)cos(y) - sin(x)sin(y)

This is False

-----------------------------------

9.)
cos(5pi/12) = (sqrt(6) - sqrt(2))/4

cos((pi/4) + (pi/6)) =
cos(pi/4)cos(pi/6) - sin(pi/4)sin(pi/6) =
(sqrt(2)/2)(sqrt(3)/2) - (sqrt(2)/2)(1/2) =
(sqrt(6)/4) - (sqrt(2)/4) =
(sqrt(6) - sqrt(2))/4

ANS : True

---------------------------------------

10.)
By this do you mean
cos(pi/3) = (cos(pi/12)cos(pi/4)) - sin(pi/4)
or
(cos(pi)/3) = (cos(pi)/12)(cos(pi)/4) - (sin(pi)/4)

sorry that i didn't answer the ones that i replied with using a calculator.
