I like this guy and I suppose we're quite good friends. On msn, he’s always the first person to say hi to me, even when he is busy. But for the past 2-3 days, he has been totally ignoring me on msn. Whenever I go online, his status immediately changes to “Busy”, and when I try to talk to him, he ignores me and goes offline without saying anything! I don’t annoy him and I haven’t said anything insulting. What should I do?

I'm going to answer with a poem I once read:

If you catch a fallen white dove in your hands,
Heal it's pain,
And pet it each day,
Is it better to hold that bird in a clenched-tight fist,
Or open your hands and see if it flees?
If it comes back, you can be sure it's in Love!

Moral: If he becomes an 'it' for you (a "boyfriend", "partner", "husband", "friend with or without benifits", or "INSERT tag HERE"), then do not squeeze- you'll only hurt him or kill him. i.e.: DO NOT GET OBSESSED!
If you let it go, let him loose, time will tell if he was the one!
You'll need some mending, but I'm sure there's a line to rattle your chain!
And if there is no line to speak of, then get off the PC and go meet your future you-drive-me-mad fellow!

PS: Another little poem-y thingy:

"A little..." said the mouse.
"How little?" thundered the cat!
"Like a piece of string", wimpered the mouse.
"How long is a piece of string?" asked, naively, the cat.
And so the mouse and the cat have been forever arguing about the length of string!

That is why you see cats playing with a ball of string- they're trying to unravel it to measure it once and for all!!!

I think you're putting too much into the online friendship. It's virtual. As for you not annoying him, are you sure? What we think is ok, men often find irritating. I would double check on that one. Many things could be happening that are causing him to treat you this way. The worst thing you can do is jump to conclusions. More than likely it's nothing. But if it is something, it probably has nothing to do with you. Try just being a friend. Don't imply you're self absorbed by assuming it has to do with you. If you must, write him an email, asking how his weekend went. But don't ask him if you did anything wrong.

One of these might be the case...
1. You might have hurt him in your last chat. Try to remember you last chat & the topic. If this is the case than u can send him a sorry e-card & I miss u ecard. This should work.

2. He has found another chat mate & thus he is ignoring you. This is really disturbing but if this is the case than there is no solution. Just send him a good-bye email. Do not forget to mention that you are deleting him from your massenger because of his ignoring behaviour. If he wants your friendship than he will reply & if he don't than forget it.

3. He likes you & he is testing you. Most of the guys do this to see if the girls will follow or ignore them. This is basically done to identify if the girl is intrested or not. In this case its up to you what impression you want to creat in his eyes. If you like him just email him asking the reason of his behaviour & if you are not intrested than simply ignore him.

Ok dear Takecare... Think about it... Good Luck

The thing to remember is not to take it personal. If in fact he is avoiding you, although it may hurt, it may be best to try and move on. If he would rather ignore you than discuss any issues he may have with you - than let him go - in the end those kind of games end up getting worse and hurting more.
