it's the fuse mate, you've separate fuses for the lights, look on the back of the fuse box cover , It'll tell you which one to change.I very much doubt both bulbs would have gone...

If the bulbs have not failed, the column switch is a probable candidate but first check the circuit diagram to determine if the dipped headlights are operated by a relay. If they are controlled by a relay, check this first. You should be capable of carrying out these diagnostics yourself with the aid of some basic tools, a cheap multimeter and a short length of wire. I had the same problem some years ago when I was away shooting for a week and unable to get to a garage. A friend repaired the switch and it lasted until I disposed of the car.

Sounds like the fuse has blown.
Very unlucky if both bulbs have blown together!
Failing that, there could be a problem with the switch.

sounds like low beam is out of order
