The "magic" of good theatre is about the performance's production bringing about the "suspension of disbelief" in the audience.
I'm not sure what that says about the audience straining to get a look at Harry Potter's wand, but, if that's what they believe they saw, it seems they DID experience that "magic", since no wand was actually there!

More like the 'sadness' of theatre - it's a shame that all these people are going to see is Daniel Radcliffe naked, instead of going to watch an incredible script performed by a good cast and a stellar director.
Although I suppose I should be glad that it's getting so many people in to watch a stright play...

well he does have a lot of gutts to come out on the stage like that but the people who came forward for a better look were probably really big fans. the magic of stage is how the actor/actress turns into his/her character and the way they act. it's kinda complicated but what i heard was that the play overall was boring since it's so overdone but the way the actors acted were incredible besides the nudity. Hope that helps you understand!

I really don't get this. We see nudity constantly in movies, and it doesn't strike us as extraordinary in any way. So, why is it that, when nudity is required in a live performance, everyone regresses to the emotional level of a 4-year-old?
From everything I've read of the production thus far, young Mr. Radcliffe delivers the goods as Alan Strang. I also read an interview with him where he said: "...now, they damn well can't say that I haven't CHALLENGED myself as an actor."
Bravo for him.

I don't get what your question is, but surely you can't deny people their fun? Why wouldn't they want to see his "wand" after it's had so much publicity? Probably wanted to see if there was a lightning scar there...
