The current population of this country is approaching 300 million persons. We currently have more than 1 million in the prisons of this country plus additional thousands in local jails. How much of this can society bear before society begins to unravel?

Maybe it's started to unravel already. Maybe that's why so many poeple are in jail.
The problem is not that we are imprisoning people. It's that people are getting themselves imprisoned.

There are those who choose to guard their soul and ignore the the existence of suggestion that lands many in jail.
