Is Bruce Pearl an idiot or is his coaching style what college basketball needs?

I love his coaching style and think that it is the reason why his players are so passionate about playing the game. Alot of people say it is unecessary in the game today. PEARL IS A FREAK OF NATURE AND...................I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Regardless of his antics, Pearl has turned the TN program around in two years. I think he is a great coach with an unreal passion for the game.

Even if you don't look at his success on the court, you have to recognize him as a master of marketing his team. I graduated from Tennessee and it was unbelievable how Pearl advertised and got the fan base's interest back up around campus before they even proved anything on the court. He would come out of the gate while students were waiting for the doors to open and scream and jump up and down. He was all over tv and flyers locally. Before tipoff he would come up in the stands and high five the student section up and down. The guy is a genious at marketing, and he is also an excellent coach on the court.

Hopefully they will pay him enough to keep him, but I don't see him passing up a job from a huge program if it comes available. I'm just hoping that opportunity doesn't come for a good while.

ps......a lot of people call him a jackass for painting up for the women's game this season. i hate women's b-ball but i think this was another great way to promote tennessee basketball

LOL. I joke with my friends when I watch Tn play. I say he looks like a troll with all of that orange on. I think he just likes to have fun and that's what teams need.That's what helps make a winning team. Gotta have a sense of humor.
