No. You need the software and then the key to be able to use the software. What you need to do is order "Recovery Disk" from the manufacturer. They are usually free, just pay the shipping and handling. Also, you can order a low cost copy of Windows by contacting Microsoft and explaining but most likely they will tell you to contact your manufacturer. P.S. You can find the information and prices on the manufacturer's website.

Depends, you need to know which flavor of xp it was that was on there, home or professional. then you need to borrow someone else's disk, or burn a copy. Also make sure it's an OEM disk not a retail, because your computer came with the OEM version, hence the sticker. You can use someone else's disk in most cases, the disk is not as important as the sticker. It just has to be the same flavor of XP.

Before I did this, i would get with the manufacturer, see if the will give you a disk. Also some of the major manufacturers put the restore files in a hidden partition on the hard drive instead of giving you a disk. You can restore those models by hitting a certain key during boot-up. I would get with them and see if yours falls under that category.
