Little tidbit of trivia:
He had a fear of cops. He didn't like to eat his vegetables as a child. His dad took him to the police station one night (they lived nearby) and the police locked him up for 15 minutes for not eating his vegetables, turning out the cell lights in the process. This had a profound effect on him.
Though a BRILLIANT filmmaker, he never received an Oscar/Academy Award.
