In the story these robots keep a child isolated. He is a musical
prodigy and he composes piano masterpieces without any knowledge of other songs. Somehow someone sneaks in a
recording of mozart and the boy is astonished as to how much his own music is the same. When the child writes his next song he tries to hide the mozart sound. The robots then ask the child who
let you listen to mozart. The boy ask how did they know he had heard mozart. They replied before you heard mozart it sounded they same and know you were trying to hide it. Can anyone help?

I looked up that "Tangents" story and don't think it's the one, but thanks for trying.
