I don't like Flight Centre cos they're dodgy

Travel.com are dodgy too - they cancelled my flights when I was in Portugal without telling me why.
I was left stranded with a baby & I had just vacated my rental accomodation.

you know, going direct (with hotels) is still the best way to book online. Travel portals should only give you vital information about the hotels but I don't recommend booking through them because they usually charge a fee for that.

normally this days you should check at the airlines website specially the low cost carrier. I used to be a travel consultant, so if i know what's the destination and the hotel budget maybe i can help u. cheers

I booked my last NZ trip through lastminute.com.au - they were really great. There is also Zuji which is apparently not bad either.
