Absolutely not. My mother did the same thing. She got her master's at 35 and now she's earning 3 times more, but she's 100 times happier. She even says "I still don't know what I want to do with my life" and she's almost 50.
If you enjoy studying and think it will benefit your choice of career, then it's never a bad idea. At 36, your life has just begun!

No. My high school band director is in his mid-40s and is working on his Master's. However, switching careers needs to be something you're sure you want to do. Once you switch at that age, you don't have much more time to reconsider if you are thinking of a career job, not just a job.

It depends on your goals. For personal satisfaction, you should do it if you can. For a career, you might face problems getting a job because employers like to see more experience in the field by the age of 40. Some of them will avoid you because you might ask for more money than a 20-year-old entry level Master's. But if you're slogging away in a bad job, it can only be an improvement.

No. But I would check out your future career before investing a lot of time and money in a masters degree.

Absolutely not. I went for a Masters in Fine Arts, and there were plenty of people your age and even a couple of people 10 years older. There were also, believe it or not, a few lawyers changing careers (to be filmmakers). I respect that. I waited one semester after undergrad to go to grad school and I was THE youngest in my semester there. You only live once. Do what you want (or regret it).

Definitely not too old. I'll be 34 next month and it will be another year or two before I will have my bachelors degree and I'm considering a PhD after that.
