yes, my son would do something once and stop doing it for months! It's normal, but if very concerned, talk to a doctor. Keep giving her tummy time and assisting her with rolling over. Development is so different for kids, she might be one that crawls before rolling.

Is she doing other stuff? My son stopped rolling over once he moved on to trying to figure out how to crawl. A lot of times, babies will move on from a mastered skill to something new. That's nothing to worry about. Is she doing other things? Can she hold her head up, bearing the weight on her hands, when she is on her stomach? Can she pick things up? Is she starting to sit up on her own? (Probably falling to the side still at this point) Is she making sounds? If she's doing some of these other things, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I have seen some babies move around entire rooms by rolling, but my son was never a big roller. He didn't do it much at all. And while some babies are starting to crawl at 6 months, others wait till much later. My son started scooting about between 7 and 8 months, and didn't crawl on all fours till I think about 9 1/2 months.
If she's not starting to do any of these other things, I'd speak with your pediatrician to make sure. Voice your concerns to him anyway, he is the best person to determine if the baby is moving along developmentally. Also, if she was premature at all, her milestones will all be later then the so-called "normal" times. Hope this helps, Good luck with the baby!!

My 8 month old son didn't roll well until he was almost 6 and a half months old and still doesn't sit or crawl. Some babies just prefer to go at a slower pace. If you are worried she isn't on target ask her pediatrician about it. Remember there is a wide range of what is normal and each child is an individual and will do their milestones in their own time. My son also took his time with his development milestones. However, don't be surprised if he CAN do things, you just haven't seen him do it.
The first time my son rolled over (also about six months), was also the night that he first stood up in his crib and fell over the edge. So, just because you think he can't roll, I would advise you to make sure the mattress is all the way at the lowest setting and the rail is up securely.

All babies progress at different rates. So please do not make yourself crazy about it. When they are ready they will do it.
My son never crawled, he just stood up and began to walk.
But his first tooth did not cut till ll months. I thought he was going to be toothless. But he is 30 now and has beautiful teeth.
My daughter barely crawled and my son didn't at all. I just realized why. I used a walker to put them in . Apparently They both developed their legs really well, and walked at 8 1/2 and 9 Months. Then got into everything.
So be patient Mom it will happen.

If I where you I would bring her to the doctor and tell him or her that you are very concerned and would like some test done, this is not normal, at six month she should be trying to crawl.

Mine have both reached milestones early, but I just wanted to reassure you that everythign is probably just fine! If you are concerned please ask her pediatrician. But since she did it once then she at least CAN do it. Every baby does things when they are ready to learn them. Some even entirely skip things or do them in what's not concidered teh normal order. IE my 12 year o,ld never really crawled until AFTER she walked.

Yes and its ok, my babies were a bit slower at the crawling and walking but just remember all babies are different and i know it can be frustrating when you see all of your friends babies moving quicker but don't get flustered just remember they won't be on the floor forever! and once they start theres times you'll miss them not being able to get into everything :P

You as her mother needs to set aside some play time, make sure you play with her, roll her over yourself, move her legs and play baby games. It is not uncommon, babies are different than other babies. They will all be different.
