go to microsoft web site and download the windows vista upgrade advisory after downloading install and run the program. It will tell you all the things you need to do before you can upgrade to vista, this is what i did and i had to upgrade my video card and several other things before vista would work, lets just say i spent more on upgrading my PC than i could have went out and bought a new for cheaper. good luck i know its a pain in the butt.

the project isn't your pc. For some loopy reason Microsoft determined to allow Vista to be released before the subsequent era of the computing device became released. Vista is, or could be, a kind of BETA, and they released it in any case. you want to get rid of it before your computing device with the stats I said, will artwork. It takes a lot recources, and could freeze all of your reminiscence, and could be to quick on your seventy 2 or 80 4 HD. in case you are able to, get rid of it. The computers which will manage to address it suitable will be for sale in 2009, they are nonetheless coming up the vid playing cards and ram chips. Ron settee

Probably the Pentium 3 is the problem.

There's a tool on the micro$oft website that will tell you if a computer can be upgraded.
