Hi,
Ive been twice over the last 4 years and ive never had a problem, just make sure you get a look at a proper ticket and then find someone who is selling.
If you want a fair deal search for a few people insted of the first one that you come up to.
They normally hang out at the train station - both exits.
The year before last i got the tickets for £5 extra than the face value - just to give you an idea.

Yes you can sometimes get tickets on the gate on the day ( I presume you are talking about weekend tickets), but you have to be lucky! They usually set aside tickets to sell on the day but unless you get there early they will soon go!! I don't suggest you go to touts because you can't always trust them and they tend to charge almost double the face value of the ticket!. You could try ebay!! Although people tend to sell them higher than the face value you can still sometimes get a good deal. Me and my friend last year missed out on Reading festival tickets, and so we went on ebay, and set a limit that we were willing to pay!! We manged to get 2 tickets that cost £50 more than the actual combined value of the tickets. So that was £25 extra per ticket each we had to pay. Now that is pretty good!! But do remember to be careful when buying from ebay!!

i have heard that some touts give away day tickets pretty cheap or near face value but i wouldnt wanna risk it. Look out for ebay in a few months but not too close to event as they'll get cheaper. If you really wanna go it will be worth a little extra. Thats what i did for leeds last year

No you cant because they are all ready run out. When i went to the V vestival a while ago when it wasnt all sold out, they were selling them on the door. But i dont think that they will be this time because of that reason.. they are sold out.
Also, if you get offered any if you do try and buy them; they are probably not proper ones... most probably fakes, dont buy these if you are offered them really cheep, proper tickets cost around £25!

Try http://www.scarletmist.com you can often find the tickets you want on there at near enough face value
if you try eBay your only going to risk playing twice as much to a tout for a ticket
