I'm sorry, but your memory is way too less, esp if you are trying to install vista premium - with aero - it'll need atleast 1Gb RAM
and your memory is way too slow.. probably a DDR and not even a DDR2.. which is the minum recommended spec, and a minimum speed of 533 MHz
You'll definitley need to upgrade your RAM..
I'd say its best not to install Viosta right away - coz the OS will drain all that your machine has, even if you do get ur RAM up.
Stick to '98 or XP (whatever u have right now).. and when you buy a new machine, that would be the best time to change your OS as well.
There may be a few bugs with Vista, so best to wait a little.
Aero may also need a GPU to help realise its complete potential, and I dont think your system would be capable of that right now.
All the beST!
PS: and for VIstta you'll need a bare minimum of P4.. P3s wont do!

Yeah I wouldn't install Windows Vista on that machine, most of the neat features your machine would be unable ot run anyways, that or it would be horribly slow.

Not to mention all the compatibility issues with Vista, what are you going to do if some of your software doesn't work, or worse yet, your sound card won't work? To many hardware and software issues, much less security issues at the moment with Vista and not really a good reason to upgrade.

At 933 MHz even XP would run poorly.
I know better than attempt to run Vista.

Buy a NEW computer!
Or stick with what you have!
If you upgrade the RAM, it is certain the processor will be to slow!
If you upgrade the processor, it is certain the motherboard bus speed will be to low!
NEW OS = NEW COMPUTER!
No old ones allowed.

Looks like you're short of memory and maybe a little slow.

You wouldn't want to run it on a PC like that anyway - it will be slow
