Did any one see Rowan Vine dive in yesterdays game? why does a player with that ability feel the need to beat a player, go through 1 on 1 with the keeper only to throw himself to the ground as he passes the last defender? what are your views on diving?

I was appalled at the dive at least a foot away from contact, a booking was a crime in itself, how can a referee justify such a decision when he allowed a clear cut penalty go a miss after the foul on chopra in the first half? Credit to Birmingham for playing the way they did 2nd half but I did not feel they deserved all three points. Blooooooooooobirds.

I wonder what players think when they see themselves in the box. You would see this kind of dives in Spain and mostly in Barcelona where a player has the chance to shoot but prefers to dive to just get a penalty.

I think the only way to deal with this kind of situation is if they use video proof like they do in cricket or rugby whereas if the action is not clear the referee pauses the game for a tv checking.

If you watched the carling cup final between Arsenal vs Chelsea you'd notice that the referee took some time to give cards (in the red card incident) because he was being told what to do through their phones. And this helped a alot.

Thanx!
