I live in a small town in Texas and was thinking of building a bunker in my backyard, incase we are attacked?

in case of another event like 9/11 or them arabian people bombing institutions and stuff. How much would it cost?

I purchased a house with a bomb shelter (really) it was built in the mid 50s during all the cold war stuff. I call it my man cave, it is 25x20, 8"thick walls and 8' deep, you can see it 12" above ground. It has 2 vents for air. I guess the guy that built it thought that there was no biological chemical threats. I have a buddy who is a builder said it would cost today about 35,000 to rebuild.

I live in Texas too I think youre being silly, 1. 9/11 happened to a big corporate building, not a field out in the boondocks
2. People assume it was Muslims, but a word of warning, there are terrorists in America too, the Nazis, the Branch Davidian, the abortion bombers, and Heavens Gate were all considered terrorists to some degree, i dont believe whatever my government spoon feeds me, i think some of it might be laced with crap.
3. bunkers are very expensive and if they are not built right, you can suffocate or starve to death.

Not sure of the cost, but you can feel free to blame your fellow Texan in the White House for you feeling as you do. He has done more to make the rest of the world hate us than any President in recent memory.

As much as you want to spend. You can offset the costs by renting it out to displaced Katrina victims. FEMA trailers are falling apart and the parks are being disbanded.
