It takes more than a finger to do that. Yes, it's painful but not traumatic. No, it doesn't affect the sex after wards. It makes the girl want some more. When the hymen is broken , penetration would be easier.

There is a chance the hymen may already be broken, but it is usually painful to some extent.

It can be broken in many ways: tampons, fingering, sex, etc. Even sports such as horseback riding or biking can break it. It may be painful, and it may not be- it is different for all women. All women are different, penetration may not be difficult depending on the size of the vaginal opening.

Not for nothin', but I found my oversized Penis to be the best tool I know for breaking a girl's hymen.. Tried & True.. Then, penetration is easier because the vaginal cavity is elastic.
