put the convertor back on and replace the 02 sensors.get a tune up.your only getting 14 mpg.or maybe just drive slower and easier, also you dont say if this is around town or on highway and is your friend driving the exact same route and conditions,he is getting 21 mpg
km divided by litres times 2.83 = mpg

The computer control of your engine is programmed to manage timing and mixture, and unless it has been modified to compensate for the missing catalytic converter, it's not going to do it's job properly. In your case, I guess that means excessive fuel consumption.
You have a major repair to do: either get an ECM programmed for no cat (which might be hard, cars are supposed to have a cat in them), or put a converter back on your car.

The negitives out way the advantages. Removeing would provide you quite much less backpressure and you will possibly no longer observe the HP boost in any respect different than on applicable end at max tourque. much less weight, concerning to comparable to a bag of golfing golf equipment. it would confuse your o2 sensors, pcm would compensate yet making destiny electronics diagnostics complicated, probably having your verify engine easy on each and every of the time. i'd decide for extra on the air intake ingredient for much less costly perfomence except your going to place alot of money in a tuned exhaust equipment and recalibrate your pcm.
