I think that's a really cute name for an animal, but i believe that's a common name for a rabbit. So i believe choosing an uncommon name for your gerbil will make him/her more special.

Well, Fluffy is a little too common... but heck, it's a gerbil, and not a terrapin, so it should be okay, I guess.

You can call your gerbil fluffy.There is no hard and fast rule on names.It can go for either male or female.
