My new online friend is so down now. He just can't forget his dead gf, and think only his death would bring him to her again. I can't make him any better. Anybody know what to tell him to do? Things that make him not so down...

geez.. this person is in need of some help! the truth is: in reality he probably wont kill himself because he is talking about it with you. he is probably just venting his hurt, anger and pain.

focus on the positive always... try and empathize with him about hurtful feelings and that they will lift with time. you may like to focus on the logical aspect of it.. by killing himself he will only create more hurt for those around him. is there really an after life?

i think he needs professional help though- suggest he goes to a counselor, physiologist or the liking.

he also needs to have a good cry and get a hug from someone around him..

do your best to be supportive and encourage sensible and mature suggestions for his problems.

go with your intuition and the right things to say will come to you..

I soooooo hope that this isn't a sympathy-getting ploy he learned by watching Animal House or something ...

tell him to see a therapist, its the only way. He is beyond your help at this point.
