I breastfed all four of my babies until they were well over 1 year old and it never made my breasts saggy! My husband used to go nuts over my newly volumptous figure that breastfeeding enhanced!
Even if it had made my breasts saggy I would have done it anyway as the health benefits far outweigh any vanity that I have. Since they say that bottle feeding for one year can cost as much as $3,800.00, if I multiply that times my 4 babies, that is $15,200.00 which I figure would go a long way towards paying for a "boob job" if I was that vain (which I am not!).
Did you know that the colostrum that you make before your milk comes in is so full of antibodies that it protects your baby from staphylococcus infections, polio virus, coxsakie virus, infant diarrhea and Escherichia coli infections...the very things to which newborns are most susceptible. All you would have to do would be to let your baby nurse for two or three days for him or her to get all those benefits and I doubt that it would ruin your breasts. Nursing for another 6 months protects babies against most childhood illnesses as well as the common cold and typical things like earaches and such.
Comparing all that to the worry that your breasts might not be perfect any more makes it seem rather superficial don't you think?
Good luck and for the sake of both you and your baby I hope that you will change your mind.

Once your milk goes from them they will lose some perkiness anyway. Whether you do or don't. Is that the main reason you are questioning breastfeeding? I'm a coward my 2 kids weren't breast fed as I didn't want any pain. Watch the breast feeding video from Avent that a midwife should give anyone who is having a kid.

Thats why you won't breastfeed...you would rather wash bottles and spend 50 dollars a week onn formula because you are afraid of your boobs getting saggy???Your face will end up saggy because of all of the sleep you will lose while mixing up bottles at three in the morning..good luck

It didn't happen to me. A well-supporting nursing bra should help. Also there are all the health benefits etc, but I'm sure lots of other people have gone into the Breast Is Best lecture with you already so I won't go there.

Yes yes and yes .. but then so does getting old, so what is the big deal ?? 70 year old women are supposed to look like wet tea bags so they feel good when their grandchildren 'squish' them .. have you seen some of the stuff getting around on the Gold Coast lately ? Breasts aren't balls to be used for sport. (How did you ever make it through pregnancy unscathed ?)

breastfeeding is not causing your boobs to sag-pregnancy is.they go through so much changes as all of your body does that it doesn't matter a lot if you bfeed or not, they will never be the same again.unless you "fix" them-surgically.if this is the only reason why you are considering not to bfeed, then you should think twice cause your baby is not going to have the best thing in the world for her.

No dear - gravity, time and a bra that doesn't fit you properly give you saggy boobs. Breastfeeding does not - my sister breastfed her two children and her boobs are still perfect, she's in her thirties.

You breasts will already stretch from the growth during pregnancy, and your milk will still come in after the birth whether you choose to breastfeed them or not. The will be stretched to their breaking point even if you choose a bottle. So you are going to go through it anyway why not choose to give your baby the best start in life and breastfeed rather than be so damn vain...(ppl who CAN'T breastfeed I am not talking about you I am talking about someone not doing it b/c of vanity) I feel sorry for your child it looks like YOU will always come first.
