Whatever free one that the company gives you. When we added our daughter's number to our plan, we did have to sign a new two year contract but that wasn't a problem for us. If signing a new contract is not a problem then give the child the free phone that comes with that contract. That is what we did and the phone is still alive and kicking over a year later. A 11 year old child doesn't need anything fancy. My child was thrilled with her "free" phone and the phone still works great.

A cheap phone with no gizmos so no-one will try to steal it from him. Personally I wouldn't give a mobile to an 11 year old, but if you're going to do it, get a really boring phone that no-one will want to steal.

Virgin Mobile phone are always good for 11 year's old
i know my 1st phone was a virgin mobile it was pretty cool
or there this phone out by
Cingular i wouldn't get for it 11 years because its not like what a teenager would want but if you want to save money i would get it..
or you can just buy your kid a pre-paid phone and buy min. cards for it..

nicely first of all, its great that she is homeschooled! i think of homeschooling is SO valuable. i think of that according to danger getting her one for her twelth birthday is an very nicely thought, in case you lay out some strict regulations approximately it. Moniter how and why she makes use of it, and if she is irresponsible with it, you are able to take it away. i did not get a cell telephone till i replaced into 14 years previous, and that replaced into because of fact I had to start making use of public transportation on occasion. She could in simple terms choose one for convenience, for the protection of understanding that she has a potential of contacting somebody if she needs to. She could choose it because of pals and peer rigidity. take a seat her down and communicate along with her approximately her motives for wanting one, and according to danger you are able to artwork something out. i'm hoping that helped! And save up with the homeschooling!

www.tmobile.com has several for free, and even if you buy them, they are only like $20, and for free, they have got to be easy to use. i knew how to download stuff, and send e-mails etc. on my moms phone the day after she got it, and i was only 11!
