Go into BIOS at boot -tap Del
Go to advanced settings
Check out the menus - locate enable UDMA mode and enable it using the +/- keys on numeric keyboard.
Press Esc/press F10(save)/press Y/ press enter - done!

This function will only be enabled if your PC supports it.

Also UDMA5 mode will drop back down to UDMA1 in reductions of1 if restarts are frequent(PC disk auto protect) - best to switch off PC and cold boot to maintain UDMA5.
good luck.

This is usually a feature in the BIOS of the computer.
Dependng on your Motherboard manufacturer and the version of BIOS you have, some may not have an option to enable this in the BIOS at all.

I guess the best option is to look in the documentation of your Motherboard or contact your PC manufacturer to see if this is supported in the BIOS.
