I would say the CV BOOTS are torn, and have lost the Grease inside of them and you are now hearing unlubricated drive joints on tight or even regular turns.
Have them checked and replaced asap, if you drive as is, you risk damaging the drive axle joints.
Best Wishes!

A bad Constant Velocity (CV) joint in one of the front drive axles. The shop will replace it with a new remanufactured unit. This is a good time to check your shocks and upper strut mount bearings because the technician has to dissassemble everything anyways. You'll probably have to pay for a front wheel alignment too.

If it is a front wheel drive,it definitely is a cv joint boot has torn, and all the grease has been washed out and now you are hearing the popping of the cv joint. You will hear it in a turn more because the cv joint is in more of a bind without the grease.

One Click? or more? as if it is more then once that it clicks check the CV joint, if it is only once check out the front end parts, ball joint(s) tie rod end - shock - spring - Lug nuts - wheel cover fit (hub cap) tire inflation.

Have your mechanic check out your U joint or CV joint (on the drive axle). This is usually due to uneven tire inflation, or hitting a sharp curb or pothole. This has happened to my car a couple of times and that has been it. Its a spendy fix, but if you don't, I've heard your axle can break. (Especially if the clicking gets worse.) Have your mechanic check it out.

drive half shaft woren and bearings going, possibly because the rubber buth has cracked and let in water from the road and let the grease out. i am assuming it is a front wheel drive car.

It could be your wheel bearings, they may need replacing, take it a garage and get it checked, because if they go the wheel can completeley seize up.
