How many hours do they need to sleep, and what time should they go to bed? They say children need their beauty sleep.

they say that an average amount of sleep someone should get a night is 8 hours of sleep, but for an early teen i would say going to sleep at 9:30-10pm when getting up at 7-8am or 8:30-9:30pm when having to get up earlier

O, WoW.

I am 22 years old, and still remember high school quite clear.

I believe 7-8 hours of sleep is about right. Bed time around 9-10PM.

I will tell you this though, I never got this much sleep. I was up constantly talking to friends online or on the phone. I remember the days I would stay up all night with friends, talking with friends, or online with friends, and going to school the same day.

I remember doing that a lot actually, and so did a lot of other kids.

I constantly went to bed from 12:00AM -3:00AM and would wake up at 5:30AM during a school week.

I wish I still had that kind of energy, because today there is no way I would have the energy!

Yeah like they said.. traditionally it's 8 hours but it all depends on YOU!

Some people need more or less.


Me for example.. I have messed up sleeping patterns..

When i have school the next day i get about 3 hours.. and when i dont i sleep for at least 12.. Crazy i know :3


There are some people i know that sleep for only about 5 hours a night and are perfectly energized the next day.

(I cant see how they do it :P sleep is awesome)

Well.. You need about 8-9 hours of sleep.
I, on the other hand, only get about 6.
I sleep at 11-11:30 PM and wake up at 5:40 AM.. Bus obligations =S

8 hours is the lowest for anybody. it takes that much time to regenarate your body functions
