They also make a record of a bluesy/swamp type song whilst on the run from the police. Can you tell me the name of the song and label as well. Not sure if this has been released or in production. Thanks

Oh Brother Where Art Thou? The Coen Brothers film - I've got it on DVD. Don't know the name of the song but I do know the one you mean - I'm sure there was a soundtrack with the film so it's bound to be on there (take a look on ebay...)

Oh, Brother Where Art Thou by the Coen Brothers. They loosely based the story on Homer's Odyssey.
They "sang" the song Man of Constant Sorrow. Actually sang by The Soggy Bottom Boys featuring Dan Tyminski. The label that released the soundtrack is Lost Highway and they also released Down from the Mountain: Live Concert Performances by the Artists & Musicians of O Brother, Where Art Thou? and it was a special on PBS a few years ago.

That would be the brilliant "O Brother Where Art Thou?" - it's a musical version of Homer's Odyssey set in the American South during the depression. It's got some cracking, typical Coen Brother's lines, the music is sublime and it came out in about 1999.

The movie is "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" and is very loosely based on the Odyssey by Homer. Made by the Coen Brothers. The bluegrass music is catchy, I think it won a Grammy or was at least nominated, and is pretty good.

The movie was O brother where art thou. The band that he supposedly played in was called the Soggy Bottom Boys. Hope this helps.
