The movie was very touching. All patients are people with feelings and concerns and needed to be treated as such, not cold heartedly like some professionals. He went out of his way to make the patients happy before there illness came to a point of death. The man that was scared and miserable,, he kept going in because he knew what he needed. No one else was willing to continue on that quest because they were clueless or simply afraid. Professional's, especially in any field that involves working with people so closely and at their most intimate times should be more like Patch. He brought so much joy to those around him. It was contagious. It takes less energy to smile and laugh than it does to frown and be miserable. He saw the importance to all the patients that their stay in the hospital shouldn't be glum..it was difficult enough for them..he made it a better experience for them.
I worked with dementia patients at an adult daycare facility and I worked with terminally ill clients in their home. I would always try to bring a smile to their face and they welcomed it!

i really liked this movie, found it very touching and hoped there would be more Dr.s like him around him in this world. A patient needs to feel that he is cared for and not just medically
