I think Tennessee will win the tournament, they have been on a roll since Chris Lofton came back from his injury.

I think that Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Alabama will all go to the tournament. I think that Florida will lose in the second round, they're playing like crap right now. I think Tennessee will make it to at least the Elite Eight, while Kentucky loses in the first or second round.

Vanderbilty and Alabama are harder to predict, because they are playing so sporadically lately. They have potential to do great things in the tournament, but they could also self-destruct.

If you look back to Tennessee's record, (22-9) they lost to Butler and North Carolina at the beginning of the year (both ranked teams). Then they lost 3 games in a row by a combined 6 points (to Vandy by 1, to Ohio State by 2, and to Auburn by 3). That is when Lofton got hurt and they lost 4 more pretty quick.

I think Florida is too caught up on itself to do much this year.

I have followed Tennessee basketball for years (alumni) and it is a STRETCH to say they will win the SEC tourney. They definitely have the ability to do so, but they could also get put out in the first round by a VERY dangerous LSU team, who needs to win this tournament to get an NCAA bid (check the history of the SEC tourney, there have been a couple teams in the past few years to win it in order to get a bid to the NCAA, when they had no chance as an at-large bid).

I would love to see us win it, but I think Vandy and Florida have a better chance to do so. They are definitely the favorites, especially with Tennessee needing to win 4 games in 4 days to do it. The teams with byes have the best chance.

I can tell you that a team from the SEC west will not win the tourney (unless LSU comes alive and plays up to its potential). Another thing worth noting is that Alabama has NO CHANCE at an at-large bid. They have to win this whole tourney to get into the NCAA. With their issues with Ronnie Steele I don't see them doing so. They just got blown out by Mississippi State to end a terrible finish to the season. They are absolutely out of the dance!

Look for the semifinals of the SEC tournament to be all east teams (kentucky vs. vandy....and....tennessee vs. florida).....with any of those meeting in the championship. it normally isnt the favorites, but we will see
