Rupert Murdoch has admitted as much:
Last Friday, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Rupert Murdoch sat on a panel where he lamented what he described as a “loss of power” due to the ascension of the Internet and other new media. The notion that this captain of one of the most dominant media conglomerates in the world is trembling in the shadow of bloggers is simply absurd. Especially when you consider the fact that his company is also a dominant player on the Internet with an aggressive acquisitiveness that includes MySpace, the world’s largest online social networking site.
But there was a more shocking exchange that took place that ought to have caused more of a stir amongst professional journalists and all freedom loving people. It was an exchange that revealed something that most conscious beings knew, but which I have never seen explicitly articulated.
Murdoch was asked if News Corp. had managed to shape the agenda on the war in Iraq. His answer?
“No, I don’t think so. We tried.” Asked by Rose for further comment, he said: “We basically supported the Bush policy in the Middle East…but we have been very critical of his execution.”
Let me repeat this: “We Tried!”
Where is the outrage? Where are the calls to disband this mammoth and unlawful propaganda machine? Murdoch, who was made an American citizen by an act of Congress because, otherwise, he could not own an American television network, should have his citizenship revoked and be deported back to Australia. Think of the precedent this sets for any other wealthy and ambitious ideologue that seeks to manipulate public opinion. There are plenty of wealthy and ambitious ideologues in the Middle East and elsewhere who may view Murdoch as a role model.
At the very least, it needs to be broadcast far and wide that News Corp. and Fox News are nothing but a tool of the neo-con operatives in government. You might say we already knew that, but this is different. We are not merely accusing them of this stance, they have now admitted it. And it can not be tolerated! Not by any standard of journalistic ethics. Not by a nation that values a free press so much that it incorporated that freedom into its Constitution.

Liberals are self loathing creatures.
That explains a lot of what they do that makes no sense.
Liberals are the new fascist Nazi's.
They can't tolerate any opinion different than their's.
Look what they do to college speakers. They throw urine, pies, pull fire alarms, start fights, etc etc, to keep conservative's from speaking.
They want to pass laws to eliminate talk radio.
Liberals are intolerant, bigoted fascists, incapable of allowing free speech.
Islamicfascists have pledged to murder you and me.
Liberals want to help them.
Conservatives want to fight them.
Liberalism is ok when it is practiced.
But todays America's liberals, are not real liberals.
They are against change of all types and devoid of new idea's or solutions to problems.
Conservatives offered many new programs and initiatives the last 6 years, and liberals always fought against them, with never an original idea or solution to offer in return.
Liberals love it whan a woman murders a child that is unborn but hate it when criminals who rape, murder and commit attrocities get the death penality.
In reality the liberals of today are Stalinists and Marxists. Their belief that government is the solution to all problems and no wealth should be privately owned is what drives todays liberals.
They are also anti-American. They believe America is the worlds problem and the world would be better off without America in it.
Liberals are all for forsaking the poor weak and downtrodden if America's military is involved in keeping them alive, but insist on keeping America's poor weak and downtrodden in their miserable existance because of 'political correctness', (New Orleans and any urban city).

With Fox, you know what you are getting. The other major news group produce their hidden opinions and slants as facts which are often swallowed by the public as truth. That is much more frightening to me. Your statement. that Americans watch Fox is telling, but that is not where the brain washing is going on..

O'Reilly has been very honest to Obama, he sticks up for him each and all of the time. in case you do not have faith me watch the instruct sometime. Hanady and Colmbs, you have a liberal and a Conservative each and each given equivalent time. the place is the unfairness?? EDIT for somebody with 3 ranges you at the instant are not quite intelligent. each and all of the shows you're conversing approximately are opinion shows. Opinion, you do be attentive to what meaning perfect. tell me how the information, it extremely is whilst the folk not doing opinion shows are reporting the information are bias. ordinary question. you're smarter than me??? in case you don't be attentive to what opinion potential then i don't think of you're. tell me, what good stuff have you ever performed on your existence? something,or do you attempt to act great Time on yahoo solutions? i think of you're hilarious!! people such as you're so humorous, you start up out by potential of insulting me then act indignant as quickly as I answer back, you're a wimp, ordinary and straightforward. and that i detect it humorous you will not say what you do for a living. Are you basically a form of expert scholars who think of they're smarter then the rest people who artwork interior the genuine international? And BTW way, community information isn't on for twenty-four-HOURS!!! once you have 24-hours of programming what else ought to you do fool. for somebody who claims to be so knowledgeable you specific are stupid. Why are you not conversing approximately CNN and MSNBC??? on the grounds which you compromise with there liberal perspectives then this is okay??? besides, i'm finished with you. I actual have seen out of your different questions which you at the instant are not something extra desirable than some idealistic pupil with out adventure interior the genuine international. you get carry of your degree so now you think of you're some how extra enlightened than the the remainder of the international. So till you're able to desire to flow out, boost a kin, make a private loan fee and actual make a contribution to society, you at the instant are not nicely worth my time. have exciting hugging that rainbow!

I just don't understand how people can believe that a news network can wield so much power! And since when is hearing both sides of an argument brainwashing, anyway? How very dictatorial of you. There is nothing so American as airing and discussing both sides of an argument. FOX just does that more than the other networks.

Oh Sure, I suppose that you get all of your news from NBC. The fact is that the loopy leftys just can't handle the fact that there's one, just one news organization out there that isn't constantly making left turns all the time. See, that's why they give you a remote control. You don't like what Fox is saying (if you can't handle the truth) change the channel and watch that left-wing drivel on the other networs.

I follow one philosophy regardless of the news channel. I don't believe anything I hear and only half of what I see....Until its been proven. Even then I may not believe it.
