Your cycle will be timed using day 1 as the first day of heavy bleeding and going through to day 28 or whatever, until your next period starts and then day 1 starts again.

That being said, if you use this as a yardstick then the first HALF of your cycle is more fertile than the second half, seeing as women are the most fertile in the days leading up to and on the day of ovulation, which usually occurs mid cycle, or approximately 14 days before the next period is due to start.

The days just after your period ends through until mid cycle is your most fertile time.

A day or two after ovulation and then on through until your period starts is generally regarded as being the least fertile time of your cycle.

I hope this helps.

About 2 weeks before your period at the around the 14th day if you have a 28 day period. The egg can last for 24 hours. If you have sex during this 24 you can become pregnant.

My general rule is 5 to 7 days after the start of your period (when you're ovulating) .. have fallen pregnant 3 times straight-up using this calculation.

It's different for every woman. If you want to know when you are most fertile,I suggest you take an ovulation test. It will tell you what your most fertile day is.
