You know how all the websites say that Cameron probably went through lots of loss and pain and that's why she became a doctor? Well what if when she became a doctor and fell in love with her husband, her family didn't approve, so they disowned her, and that is why she is always trying to get father and son and/or mother and daughter bact together (like in "Hunting") episode 2.7.

What do you think?

I don't see that.

I see her as a member of a overweight family who always sees herself as needing to watch after the underdog because deep down she feels undeserving of her good fortune in life. Chase was brought into the program because of his father. Foreman was brought in because he is a bit of a criminal, and Cameron was brought in because she looks good. That is part of why she is attracted to House, because, he all but admittted to her that he is attracted to her, or she would not be there. Cameron married her husband because as Foreman put it she saw no risk in it. The man was dying. If you remember , she broke an MRI machine for a fat guy she would not let leave the hospital until he was cured. House tried to figure out then if she was the one who was fat of if it was someone she knew. It seemed to be her. That could be why she does not go after younger healthier men to have a real relationship with. It wouldn't surprise me if her mother or father turn out to have been a dialysis patient. It would fit with the pain and suffering complex and with her working for House, a Nephrologist, kidney doctor. Anyone who had grown up near a dialysis patient would have no problem with House's drug addiction and constant crankiness. It would make her feel like home.
