According to my calendar British Summer Time begins on 25th March (Sunday). Very strange though, as my clocks changed on Saturday night at different rates! Was there magnetic shift when we had the lunar eclipse??!!

All clocks go forward by one hour on Sunday 25th March 2007, officially the start of British Summer Time. We may be losing an hour but with extra daylight in the evenings and a long summer ahead, there’s plenty to look forward to after the clocks change!!!!!

As you can tell from all the various answers it depends on where you are! If you are in the US, in 2005 Bush sign a law that changed start of daylight savings time starting in 2007 to the second week in March, where it was the first week in April before.

Also several other countries have changed their's too so you will certainly have to check with your own country's standard.

P.S. The clocks go forward around this time of the year not backwards otherwise they would be losing daylight not gaining it.

The European Union as a whole uses summer (or daylight saving) time from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. The change between the two takes place at 01.00 GMT.

you've probably got the date wrong on the appliances

Er, well in spring time all the clocks go forward, but this isn't until the Easter weekend.

Maybe you have entered a time warp in your house... be careful!! Can be quite dangerous.

By the way.... I've looked on the Internet and am getting conflicting dates for when the clocks go forward.... am confused myself now!!
