1) take notes while you watch the movie. How do camera angles, close ups, montage etc effect our emotions.
What about the use of black and white? And seeing the children run away (remember old propaganda movies always show the enemy attacking women, children and the elderly)?
You start out by writing a summary of the movie, and what effects it creates, then you elaborate, then you come to a conclusion
(the conclusion is what you think of the movie compared to other movies, without saying I think. So like, "Schindler's List was an effective emotional reminder of the holocaust because....
