I can share the internet and also checked teh boxes to say share printer but I cannot get the computer to share printer

Make sure both systems are on the same workgroup. Right click My Computer > Properties > Computer Name
On the PC without the printer connected go to Printers > Add > Network Printers and it should show itself there.

go to control panel-printers-right click on your printer-click properties-and click the sharing tab..choose share this printer and type in a name..you'd probably have to make it the default printer on the computer that will be sharing it and you can only do all the steps above on the computer that is directly connected to the printer..hope it works..good luck.
