This is a sign of anxiety and stress. As a qualified Herbalist I recommend a cup of Valerian tea when he arrives home in the evening. Soft lights and soft music will also help relieved the tension he feels and he should begin to relax a bit more.

Restless leg syndrom is the latest of a new breed of "designer conditions," which get drugs for which millions of dollars are spent on marketing each day. It is not life threatening and you should seriously consider if a toxic medication is necessary to improve your health in this situation. That is the only solution your doctor will have for you.

Yes, drugs have their place, but it is a fact that all drugs are poisons. With the AMA reporting that over 100,000 people die each year from the results of correctly prescribed and correctly used medications and they also reported that over 750,000 people end up in the ER every year due to the interactions of two or more prescribed drugs, you need to weigh those risks for yourself.

It is possible that dietary and lifestyle changes may make all the difference. I know one client who had all the "symptoms" of his RLS go away after adding a 10 minute deep breathing program to his daily routine.

Restless Leg Syndrome - happens at night mainly when asleep but can also affect the legs at periods of rest - go for a short walk to alleviate the symptoms!

My leg does this in a certain position, like when I'm sat and my leg is on tiptoe. It just keeps bouncing up and down of its own accord. It stops when I change my leg position.

nervous energy AND problems with circulation, not that he's getting to his sell by date, I'm only forty and it's always plagued me. Tell him to elevate them or sit on a kichen chair for twenty minutes. Hope this helps, I know that it can be a right pain in the **** at times.

It is entirely possible that he could have a trapped nerve or he is resting on a nerve causing electrical messages to be sent to the brain in unrhythmical patterns which causes the leg to move.
