i have been a jimmy fan for many years but i am not enjojing watching his very low level of play these days and to be honest i dont think he will ever get anywhere near his best ever again i think losing 6 wourld finals hasnt helped he was 14 8 up against hendry lost 18 14 he was 17 17 in 1994 missed a black of the spot all these things must play on your mind anyone agree with me i think if you are a die hard jimmy fan you will

No way he shouldn't retire. Just because he's going through a bad patch (possibly it's a permanent one) doesn't mean that he should stop playing snooker. He could still sell out any town hall with an exhibition contest and make a few thousand quid a time doing it. What else is he gonna do? TV pundit? No chance. Open a sports shop? Hard work and luck required.

No he should keep doing what he's done before by being the most entertaining snooker talent of the last 20 years. He will still occaisionally qualify for major tournaments just like Steve Davis does.

I'm also a Jimmy fan and yes it is time he retired so that he will always be known as the Peoples Champion if he keeps playing he could end up a hasbeen and we dont want that to happen.

Brilliant player, always liked to watch is style of play the same a Alex Hurricane Higgins, they do not come any better.

He's still and probably always will be up there amongst the great names of snooker and as long as he still enjoys being an entertainer of the highest order then I don't see the need for him to retire.
He maybe has to work to pay for his lifestyle..... don't we all?.....who knows and is it really any of our business?
