Underrated: Rambo:First Blood - Has a great storyline. Wasn't really intended to be so much of an action movie.
Overrated: By far, Titanic. One of the worst movies ever!!

Underrated: The Searchers: probably the best Western the Duke wwas ever in, didn't even receive an Academy Award nomination! This is one intense film.
Overrated: I totally agree with Titanic: what a piece of crud! If you want a better movie of the disaster, watch A Night to Remember.

Underrated: "They Live" Yep, hear me out. I am not saying it was a great movie but it was exactly what it was trying to be. It was low budget and corny but that is what I think they were going for casting Roddy Piper. It was funny and the idea behind it was very erie.
Overrated: I agree with the thread started. Titanic sucked....BAD!! Definately the most overrated movie because of home much acclaim it got for how bad it was.

Underrated: Return to Me. Excellent romantic comedy with David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. Got panned because people couldn't handle Mulder not being Mulder. If you haven't seen it, pick it up. It'll be good for a date.
Overrated: I hate to say it, but Citizen Kane. I'm a film buff, and I love movies, and I even like this movie. It is groundbreaking, it is unique. But so is Being John Malkovich, and it is by no means considered a "classic." Innovative, unique, but not very entertaining. And Orson Welles spending a few hours swelling his head drives it down in my opinion even more.

Underrated: BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA! its always said to be Carpenters' worst movie, but i believe it was taken it too seriously , its MEANT to be a 'Badly acted, piss-take, even spoof at times comedy fusion of western adventure and eastern fantasy. Kurt Russels' best performence along with Snake plissken.
Overrated: Lawrence of Arabia. Over-long, dull and slow. It nearly sent me to sleep but i forced myself to watch it til the end which seemed like forever. I just didnt get it.

underrated. the notebook with james garner...really tender love story that has alot to do with alzheimers....overrated farenheit 911, a total insult to any survivor of 911 like me. i cant understand why any sober sane individual, outside of a left wing extremist would beileve that piece of garbage. total liberal pap.
