I would like to know whether any singaporean women had experienced water retention, weight gain,or bloatedness after taking pills prescribed by the doctor to induce menstruation.

I havent had my menstruation for around a year...anyone had the same plight?

I am also worried that the pills would have side effects like allergies or would cause liver problems...

sincere answers please...I am very worried about my condition but my parents are procrastinating asking me to see and wait for a few more months...it has been like that since 3 months ago... i am curently 19 yrs old.
Also, instead of taking the pill,is the oestrogen patch available in singapore or any other medication that does not require oral prescription?

Thank you.Ans from other countries also welcome...Thanks a lot....

If you have gone a year without a period this needs to be evaluated by a dr. Going without periods for a long time like this can actually cause more problems.

Usually when they give medicine to induce periods it's to give hormone pills such as estrogen and progesterone.

Pls consult a gynecologist about this.

By the way, I'm in the U.S. so can't answer about other meds available in Singapore. Pls check with your pharmacist.

I don't know about a "best" way, because you have to find what works for you. I can give you a few suggestions. I have tried these and they worked for me. Parsley tea is a good one. It is a natural remedy that removes water retention from your body. I also used Sea Salt, not a ton but enough to taste and it also helped. There are natural minerals in the Sea salt that you don't find in the normal salt. I hope these suggestions help.
