I measure in at 36C every time, either doing the measuring myself or it being done in a shop. But that size just doesn't fit. In fact, 36 bras, whatever the cup, are always too loose even though I clearly measure to that size. Despite that, 34's are often too tight, but I can find ones that fit.

Is anyone else the same way? Everyone else I know who gets measured has found their new size perfect and is really pleased with it, but I've just ended up convinced that there is no size for me and I feel a bit of a freak!

KJ, yeah I did go to La Senza, they said 36C but they do have one bra that fits very well in 34C, despite the fact that size is supposed to be too small for me!

I have been measured by every bloody bra fitting outfit / store in a 20 mile raduis and by mysef, my mum, my hubby and best friend and still i have to try bras on in shops in a range between 38D and 44A (!) to get themn to fit - i dont beleive for a minute that there is a right way to measure just a right way to feel!!!
Good luck and get in the changing rooms!!

If you can afford it - go to Rigby and Peller - they do the queens bras and all the people i know that have been there have said its brilliant to have bras that fit and a personal service

BTW - you can but bra extenders so if a 34 is a bit too tight you can get a hook fastener thing to extend it by half an inch or an inch ir so - usually advertised in those magazines you get from sunday paper but if you google bra extenders i am sure you will find something

That's weird, I'd go to another shop and get measured. i was wearing the wrong size for years until I went to M & S and got measured properly, I was wearing a B cup and was actually a DD!!! The perfect bra should fit like a glove, you should just be able to fit a finger under the material that lies between the two cups when you are wearing it and the back strap should lie straight across the middle of your back, not rise up. The cups should totally encase your boobs and lift them. Hope you get it sorted!!!

What's all this nonsense about bra's. Go back to the 60's when women had the sense & decency to liberate themselves and burn the infuriating, cumbersome items.
I suggest a few exercises, ie., chest thrusts, deep breathing etc, then they'll be able to support themselves without aid.
Think of the money you'll save.
I don't think of my hands in cup sizes, one fits all.
Hope I've been of service

You should measure under the breasts, not over them. Try different bras for a good fit. Devote an hour or so in a good bra store.

Well I've been a 36DD since I can remember, but Bravissimo measured me and told me I was a 34E, made me try on a 34E bra and surprise surprise it didn't fit.
Sometimes 36DD bras are too small and sometimes they're too big, what I've learnt is, always try the bras on, no-matter what the size says it is!
