i've posted my email ids also, but cudn't manage a single friend. people promise that we can be friends, but then when i ask them to share their ids(email), they back off. the few who do give me their id, don't respond when i mail them. what do i do?? pls ans me at banerjeeutsav@yahoo.com

You visit non-sexual chatrooms, and chat about non-sex. Frequent those rooms, and also visit message boards and communities frequently, and you'll soon meet many people you can call your friends. (just don't do anything desperate like say 'anyone want to be my friend, i want to make friends on the internet' because few people respond to that.

Start up a 360 page. Sharing information about yourself, like hobbies and interest.Then start searching other pages, leave comments on peoples pages that interest you.Request to add them to your page.Then follow their pages, and within a short amount of time you would have started up new friendships.

Why make friends online? If you need to meet some new people try a new bar/restaurant/club. If you are really resolved to meeting people online as friends though don't do it here, do it on a social networking site like myspace or facebook.
